QE ll encourages people to experience, appreciate and respect NZ’s diverse heritage, by promoting public access to land. The trust owns land itself and wherever possible, land protected and owned by other open space covenanters.

They are an independent charitable trust that partners with private landowners to protect natural and cultural heritage sites on their land with contracts that provide guidelines.

If you are interested in volunteering for the QE2 Trust, there are a few steps you can take to get started. First, visit the QE2 Trust website to learn more about their goals and opportunities. Next, fill out an application form and provide any necessary information, such as your skills.

QE II trust protect a variety of areas including forest remnants, wetlands, lakes, peat lakes, coastline, tussock grasslands, areas of rural landscapes, archaeological sites, geological formations and areas with high scenic value

 

When new protection is put on a place we make a contribution towards projects like replanting and weed control. Representatives are able to assist you with applications for funding from outside sources.

Once your application is approved, you can begin volunteering in a variety of roles, like helping with fundraising events.  Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community and make a positive impact in the lives of others.
